When Reconciliation Canada
Pushed up from heaving hidden permafrost,
Heated by weathers till now unknown, unfelt,
Except by children/parents, dead/drowned in tears
By Canada, by its white superiors, by its religious hand
Now, finally facing its hubris, but still uncaring/unfeeling.
Forest Rape
Old Growth good to slash down in giant swaths
Create clear-cut scars in unholy sections, unholy sacrifice
To the unholy gods of progress, unholy gods of money
Slaves to the passions of greed, of control, of power
Technology
Yeah, I’m angry
We seem to think
Technology
Can fix the fuckups
We created
By digging a hole
Only to have to dig
Another hole
Twice as deep
As the first
To fix the damage
We started
By digging the first one
And so, on it continues. . .
When we gonna learn?
Climate Change
Now we done it, we done it real good
Got our bus stuck in mud, spinning wheels,
Overheating engine on a set of railroad tracks
With a diesel loco-motive bearing down on us
Most humanity drinking beer & champagne & whiskey
Devouring caviar & loks & bagels & singing in mis-key
There is a point of no return, just before most of us
Will burn in rubble of twisted steel, a Toronto bus – a justification
Of white hubris adopted by many countries hooked on McDonalds.
Canadian Governments
Provincials/Federales run by little boys with no vision, with only greed
To guide their morally perverted actions/laws/non-actions/non-laws
Enslaved by their masters in the fossil fuel industries, giving nothing back
But degrading the Earth, destroying the men, the women imprisoned
By the economics deity who shall find no other god before it, then
Stripping workers of dignity, robbing life of meaning, devastating families,
While government leaders, consumed by their own importance, laugh.
Professionals
Ah the supposed experts:
Doctors, bought off by influential pharmaceuticals;
Educators, grasping Hitler like power thru children’s lives;
Lawyers, confusing/using the word of law over truth/justice;
Experts/professionals, two day certified certificates worth nothing.
Indian Non-Act
Residential schools with catholic priests and nuns
Practicing white, Canadian civilization on children
Obviously inferior, needing the doctrine of a superior race.
Two feet good, four feet bad
Speak English be glad, speak Cree be sad
With words, with acts of unforgivable violence
Add scars lasting a lifetime or lifetime cut short
Too many would not return and those returned, most damaged goods
Holistic Overview
Diversity creates:
Bacteria, Moss, Fungi, Algae,
Steelhead, Cod, Minnow
Wren, Crow, Robin, Blue Jay,
Cedar, Poplar, Willow,
Caribou, Grizzly, Wolf,
Come together in harmony.
Destroy one, affect them all
In ways mankind will never understand.
Destroy the many, and watch
You, mankind, destroy yourself.
Old Growth
Misogyny of Earth Mother, Gaia, desiring control by raping her
Believing Her for you to do as you want & you want to leave scars
Her soil-stained tears washing into rivers polluting their waters
The return of the cod, the walleye, the steelhead trout almost gone
Not just by the clear-cut columns but by gouging mines ripping
Mountain peaks down to collect metals, deliver contaminating coals,
Leaving sediment pools, leeching poisonous alloys into tributaries
Where cod, steelhead, deer, bear, human live/drink then born/die deformed.
Let’s
Throw aerosols into the northern atmosphere
To encourage cloud cover, to slow global warming.
Build gigantic factories, to pull CO2 from sky
And inject it into deep caverns below the ground.
Mine minerals from the deepest ocean floor
So’s not to excavate from mountain tops.
Got any better ideas that technology can solve?
Oh, populate the moon, mars, & other moons/planets
And humankind will soon rule the universe
